BNSF 7205 At Otis Orchards

After years of using my beat-up Canon SD550 point-n-shoot, I got a used Rebel XT and bought a Tamron 18mm-200mm lens for $300. (I'd, of course, like something with better optics but I have a baby on the way and can't warrant the cost.)

This is one of the first shots with the camera while learning how to use it, which means the picture isn't as good as I'd like (though still better than half the stuff I got with the point-n-shoot camera)!

The biggest issue with my lens is that when the aperture is wide open (which was accidentally the case in this shot) the lens suffers from noticeable chromatic aberration around the edges. Fortunately I can correct most of it out in post processing so I don't have to hurry to upgrade.
